I get the fewest leaks with tape.
I get leaks with Rectorseal #5
(yellow
) or teflon paste based stuff from tubes even though the label says they are rated for hydraulics.
Tapes are most hazardous to the hydraulics when you take a taped connection apart and bits of tape get inside to foul valves and stuff like that.
Do I try the wrong goos?
