| My father had a farm with a NG pipeline across it that had been there for years before he got it. The Corps of Engineers put in a dam in the area and all the roads had to be moved and new built, which required a LOT of limestone. One of the hills on the farm was test drilled and determined to be just what was needed. Negotiations started for royalties on the rock in the hundreds of thousands of dollars - until the pipeline was noted to be nearby.
