northwest tennessee | I have a Ford 4000 3 cyl. gas that I rake hay with. I was shutting a gate and the tractor was running and it just died. It hadnt been missing or running rough. I fooled with it and it finally started and it was running on 2 cyl. and would barely pull itself but made it home with it. It has eaten points through the years and I figured that was the problem and put new ones on it. Then it would not even fire at all. I pulled a plug wire and grounded the plug and no fire. I then put a new distributor cap, plugs ,plug wires, coil, rotor cap and still no fire. Any ideas? The points are opening and closing and there is fire to them I know because I saw a spark when I left the key on and was checking the opening on them. Thanks in advance. | |
