West Texas | Back in the mid 80's I helped a neighbor during corn harvest. We'd start cutting around 9:30 am and by 6:30 pm we'd have a half circle of corn cut. (1 hr dinner break too) That's 220+ bpa corn with an 8820 and 8 row corn head. Was all the 8820 could handle at 3 mph and it would run hot during the heat of the day. He'd have to stop every so often and let er cool. This was a brand new combine.
Kept me very busy with the grain cart and kept several semi's busy. We'd have to wait like 5-10 minutes for trucks every once in a while. | |
