Thanks Eddy, our baler has the weld strips, I believe it's a factory thing. Most of the time that's enough but in snapping dry straw it still falls a little short, hence the traction tape. Thanks for your reply though.
New Holland chain balers were once very in my area too but they're too old now for the "up to date" crowd. There are still 6 in my immediate area.
