EC IA | You could cut the corn high to reduce the amount of FM going thru the combine and then you'd have to stalk chop the field to be able to no-till in the spring. Otherwise I'd do as you thought, just run the head low and go a little slower to allow the combine to swallow all the FM going thru. Butt shelling could be a problem, but with all the extra trash on the head it can also act as a cushion on the ears. With only 50 acres, it would be bearable to drive slower to properly prep the field for next year. | |
