Those 0ld Chevy two speed axles had some real stump puller gears . I remember working on the neighbors 70 series 66 model and was amazed how you could turn a corner at 15 mph in low range(9+ gear ratio) and 4th gear in the trans without lugging the old 292 engine at all.
