Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | My 9650STS is an early model and has 8 vanes to spread the straw. The newer models came with 12 vanes to spread the straw out better.
At one time there was a Kit Price to buy the pieces to convert mine over to the newer style. This kit has apparently been discontinued and the pieces would need to be ordered through parts which increases the cost considerably.
I now notice that there is a hydraulic spreader attachment which is available as a retrofit for some $4900.
I'm not willing to spend that kind of money to improve my straw spreading situation. If someone is switching to the hydraulic spreader attachment they may have most of the pieces I would need to upgrade my combine to the 12 vane style.
