I would assume you have a sprayer monitor, use that to count acres. You can also count feet for yield checks w/ scale on the grain cart or the seed dealers weigh wagon.
I put a couple of magnets on the axle for calculating a distance & then installed another sencor on the feeder hse to turn on/off when the head goes up/down.
Its very simple and handy & if you have the sprayer monitor it won't cost you squatt>
