Ken,

The C-ment pond has other advantages besides pleasing the wifey. A mans gotta have a place to relax with a margarita after a long day in the field and it fits the bill nicely.

Seriously buying the hoe has been a good decision and pulls its own weight financially. Will I feel the same if/when the hyd pump ever swarms on it??? doubtful. One thing the hoe does is help with landlord relations. Most really like it when you tell them you'll take care of any excavator or backhoe work on the farm for 75% of what a commercial operator charges. In most cases I'm getting most of the benefit of running it anyway (better drainage etc.) so its a win win for me.

My problem with it is that I only have one man besides myself who I'd feel comfortable chanrging for his work. Coincidentally he also has lots of other responsiblities around the farm.

Russell
