| We've had the same problems you describe and more times than not ours were because the impellor blades on the front of the rotor were worn and the rotor was not taking material like it should. Anytime we stopped we could never see any back up down the throat to indicate there was a problem, but it alwlays bunched up in the front and would not feed up the throat..
We used to run a lot of beans on sand and the combination would just play havoc with the interior of a combine. It would be worth a look to make sure your blades were not worn down too much.
