Go for the Cam position sensor as the lift pump failure rate is fairly low on those motors. If it isn't out, you did yourself a favor putting it in. If the old one was still good, put it in the glovebox for a spare. A 10mm deep well socket does the trick. You might want a fairly long handled ratchet on it to break it loose. Lay under passenger side of radiator and reach up to about 10 or eleven o'clock on the crank pulley. Sensors are usually cheaper through Navistar than Ford. Don't think aftermarket people have made them.
