Fruita CO | My beef w/bikes is not the quality, it's the quantity...my home town is becoming known as the mountain bike capital of the west, rivalling Moab UT, which they screwed up 20 yrs. ago...the buggers are taking over, acting like they own the road, not following any road rules like they're supposed to, etc. Most all the other recreational groups-dirt bikes, 4-wheelers, horses, hikers, will at least tolerate each other, but the mt. bikers are the most arrogant, elitist, bunch of yuppy a-holes you could imagine. They had enough political pull to get about 10,000 acres of BLM desert set aside for their personal playground, nobody else can set foot on it...they come from all over the world to ride here...oh, & to relate to your original subject, the prices they pay for their toys are obscene-$5-6K is not anywhere out of the ordinary.
OK, there's my rant, who's next?
