I've had a 5 hp X 100 gal. in the shop for 13 years, and have never ever had to add oil to it yet. It runs @ 140 psi. (which is enough for me & my tools). I've replace one belt because a damn cat got tangled in it and the belt got tore up (the cat too). I would call them a medium duty compressor....
