| I use these. Alarms from four remotes for "alert zones one - four" can received by one base station. The remotes are battery powered and are said to have a range of 4 miles under good conditions. My most distant remote easily transmits about 3/4 mile under not so good conditions. Remots need to be placed far enough above ground level to avoid being constantly set off by small animals. For a little more money, I think a metal detector is available that will only be set off by vehicles and the like. I'm not sure how long the batteries will last since I've only had mine for a couple months. | |
