Flandreau, SD | One fella said that anybody can make a black strip, but to make a sucessful strip till work, you need to take the time a put your fertilizer in the right spot.
I thought that said alot.
I believe U of M said you can cut P and K rates in half if banded and but not N.
I think one of the slides said "fertility needs do not change with tillage practice." The crop still needs what it needs.
I beleive all there studies showed about a even yeild between strips and conventional tilled ground. Just that the strips are more profitable with the reduced inputs.
Still-learning, you sound close to me, where are you at I would like to look at your Warrior!!
