Subject: Major damage done to bodies by steering wheels?

Eh, say what there poster? Just exactly what damage to your body has a steering wheel done?

If they can operate a joystick, why can't they operate a finger run powershift and a steering wheel? Still have to have 1 hand or arm to do so. Lost thier right arm? Big deal, reach across with the left and shift. it's not that hard.

As if tractors and other cab machinery that's self propelled ain't high enough with price the way it is. Now some einstein thinks they should make all equipment so you could if you wanted, plug in a joystick and run it.

Listen fella, I'm kinda a stick in the mud on this deal with handicapped and farm equipment. More times than not they got "wounded" from the farm. More times than not it was stupidity or ignorance that caused it. IN those 2 cases they have no business being behind a wheel with only 1 arm workable to run a joysticked machine. Especially on a blacktop that is public access. You want him running in your field, that's another story, share a road where I drive, Hell no. If they want to put up the extra money to convert a machine, more power to them. Make them all from the factory that way? Absolutely not. Why waste money on unnecessary junk?

BTW........mail carrier comment, All so said car/pickup vehicles that are tagged in america have to have a mechanical ways and means of brakes and steering on a vehicle before it can be ran on u.s. hi-ways. And........before someone harps on me, your emergency brake is your mechanical means then, Cable ran......not with electricity or juice.

You need to elaborate on the steering wheels comment. I can't figure if I misread or misunderstand or what the heck exactly you are trying to say there. AS for the rest of it. NO. They want it, they buy it and attach it and figure out how to make it work. Quit screwing up the tractor, jacking up the price, and just plainly messing up what works fine for everyone else.

God dern star trek freaks wanting thier enterprise to say john deere on the side.
