cropsey, il 61731 | One thing to note is that the 55 series JD still has the exhaust and intake on the hood (I think) and the 7000 CIH has the side exhaust. The 7140's seem to run forever and it is not uncommon to hear of 10K hour machines running out in vegatable country. On the other hand 4955's are very popular and will likely hold their value a long time - and their popularity is not just because it's green, they seem to work very well.
