West Tennessee | Replacing the rolls will make a big improvement. Be sure and check the condition of the deck plates. They're cheap and easy to replace compared to those stalk rolls and make a lot of difference (at least they did for us). I replace the plates if the edges are rounded. I've never dealt with the straight rolls as my experience is with 40 series heads which I don't think can use them. With good rolls and plates our's does a very respectable job of getting almost all the stalks down. There are still a few standing, but not many, most are well and evenly chewed up. | |
