Dave thanks for taking your time to write that piece. I am a deep ripper fan and each spring a neighbor and I talk over that practice. He and I deep rip each acre each year and know it works for us here. Last fall it was very wet and both of us did not get all acres ripped. We can sure see that now with the hot weather. This fall both of us will do the best we can to rip all acres. Here with our short season and lack of sun we need the ground to warm up fast and a ripper and plow is what is used alot here. A saying the old farmers have here is "no till = no crop" Thanks agin and I enjoy your view on many things. John
