Light duty for trimming pastures and grass?
Medium duty, little heavier material?
Or heavy duty for cutting brush, small trees, shrubs?
Each of the better manufacturers has different grades of machines.
Heavy duty, if John Deere still builds them a 709
medium duty Woods, Bush Hog, Schulte, John Deere 717
light duty, Woods, Bush Hog
From someone who has destroyed several brands of rotary cutters, buy the heaviest duty model you can find. It will be cheaper than wrecking 2 of the light duty machines trying to make them do things they were not designed to do. There are a couple real thrills in life, one of which is having the drive line for a rotary cutter shear off and then "run up" the right rear roll cage piller.
