9600 is the same proceedure as the 7720 was, but it is MUCH easier.  The auger is about 2/3 the length of the one in the 7720 and therefore it's considerably lighter and doesn't have to be dropped near as far to get it free. 

 

Timing needs to be paid attention to, but there really is only one spline which won't work and any of the other's will....probably best to get them close to 180 degrees out of time but the exact orientation is not extremely critical as long as they do not hit.  

 

Our experinence has been that the horizontal usually will go about twice as long as the vertical, but it seems to vary from one machine to the next, possibly due to how they have been used.  

Definately pay attention to the person who advised that the flighting will be S-H-A-R-P sharp.
