If you notice, when operating a combine moving down the road, if you lower the head just a little, the accumulator absorbs a lot of the "bounce" between the combine and header, caused by the bounce of the tires. If the header bottoms "UP" and causes a "jarring' effect, lowering the head just a little more will solve it. Have to remember that the head is lowered a little and obstacles are more readily hit. Accumulators are a really GOOD device!
