| My Rancher was cold blooded when I first got it, too. I figured out that you have to pull the choke way out and HOLD it out while cranking. It doesn't stay way out by itself like the 300 did. My guess is they did that for emissions reasons. Now it starts instantly down to about 0 degrees, then you have to give the primer a couple squirts. I've thought about jetting up the carb a notch or two, but I haven't yet. With $3 gas it doesn't need to run any richer. Lots of people have had trouble with the electric shift. The manual is better and $200 cheaper, but they sold more electrics, so they might be harder to find used. | |
