Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | I have an 8120 with the ILS and have not had any problems with it. I am aware of a "fix as failed" issue with a pin in the upper arm.
Apparently this pin can rotate and cause wear. This pertained to a certain range of tractors. Mine is within the range but I haven't had the problem. I assume that this problem was fixed in later tractors.
Concerning the ILS, we have certain applications where the improved ride is appreciated. I am not sorry that I got it but it is questionable to me if it was worth the extra money. Few ILS's are sold in this area except for the largest model where they are standard.
I have an 8310 with the standard MFWD and the 8120 with the ILS. The grain cart operator uses the 8120 and feels that the improved ride is desirable in that situation. Otherwise I'm not so sure.
