Roggen, CO A mile from 2 counties | Well it’s not a wastewater plant, it’s a huge farm the city owns to spread the bio solids onto. It’s only an assumption that’s where it came from as it’s nearly 30 miles south of my lake, but a lot of water ran that year for a long time. I assume that because I did talk to someone from Colorado water and he said they are seeing high levels of salt in the water near wastewater plants. Now that’s not a plant but a whole lot of bio solids are dumped there.
I talked to a well driller and he did suggest moving the well away from the lake but also said there’s no guarantee we would get into better water and for 18k I don’t want to just gamble on it.
As far as a lawyer, the guy from the state said it’s unlikely we would have any sort of recourse. Maybe if we were right next to it.
My cousins pasture well is a little under 2 miles from mine and his water is good still so it’s isolated to mine. |
