Western, New York | I am in agreement with your statement. We dont buy any meat from the store but the few times I find myself there it seems like no matter the cut its expensive. We are lucky to raise and butcher all of our meat, if we didnt I dont think we would be eating steak as much as we do. I cant imagine a normal family being able to afford 4 steaks 2-3x a week... We have a neighbor who is all sorts of balled up and lives on a small savings and a $600 a month disability check, he cant afford to buy any beef from the store at the current pricing.
In my opinion The hype with avian flu puts the bull**** with the egg prices in the media spotlight...
