All we heard about for a while is how high priced eggs are. You don’t hear much about high priced beef. Would it be fair to say that a lot of lower income people don’t eat beef anyway. Lower income people eat chicken and or pork instead of beef.
The egg thing is a pretty good example of the media picking something and making a big deal out of it. I am just speaking for myself here, but I am less concerned about eggs doubling in price than I am the numerous other things that go up to add to the ever increasing cost of overhead.
I can understand why a restaurant would increase their prices, but the to the average person does $3 or $7 eggs really matter?
I should also add the way they "fixed" the price issue on eggs should have the beef people worried as well.
