Eastern NE KS | Your heifer and you are the good side of my 51/49 experience. I'm happy for you.
Back in the 1970's, we had probably 1-2 paralyzed per spring calving season of 3-400 cows and heifers. Bull battery was reg Angus for heifers and Charolais for cows. Sometimes big calf was being delivered by a too small female.
I once provided care to a downer that never stood again. She became adamantly pissed off at life and me. But each day, Dad and I hoped for tomorrow being THE DAY of change for the better.
I have no hint of how to accurately do triage on this situation. If anyone does, it would be quite useful and humane.
