Subject: RE: Flak Jacket question

Maybe you need to wear a GoPro when leaving the house for us to view. Been there done that. I told Doc once I really tried to take care of myself over the years and be safe. Yup he replied I can see that by looking at your chart! Two broken ankles, dislocated shoulder, cut two fingers tips off (got sewed back on), tore knee up, fused neck, rotator cup repair. The best one was roping a wild cow and loading in trailer with her calf. That got part of my upper lip ripped open. Had to have Doc sew that back up. Never forget Doc eating an ice cream cone while he did it. He wasn't going to waste the good cone when he walked into emergency room.

It was same Doc that sewed lip up that did my fingertips. He hadn't seen me for 20 years; I reminded him about the ice cream cone deal. I reminded him he charged me $25 a stitch. He laughed and said those fingers are going to cost a lot more today. Good thing was fingertips was still partly attached as I had gloves on. If I recall the updated price was over $100 a stitch.

Only thing that might help in your recovery is bubble wrap, one nurse told my wife once to bubble wrap me before I left the house.
