You might have his dr figure out for what the acid reflux is a symptom.  After many rounds with my dr about acid reflux, and various other low-key observations/complaints, a second bout of kidney stones led her to finally run a blood test and lo and behold, the various symptoms were a veritable checklist for an endocrine tumor and resultant high calcium/low Vit D as the body tried to counteract the effects of the tumor.  Only took 8 years of my life to figure out.  Not supposed to happen to 25 year olds or 35 year olds but sometimes you get lucky and lightning strikes twice.

I got a different doctor.
