Lots of hit pieces on the influencers who promotte meat. Most are like you say.

Or they post loads of links to epidemiology studies that can't prove causation. If a person eats a McDonalds hamburger, large fries, apple pie and extra large Coke (and maybe a hot fudge sunday, they taste great!), they are "meat eaters" and meat eaters are associated with shorter lifespan. Of course it is the meat that is going to kill them. Not any of the other stuff.

Even the "low carb" studies are not low carb at all. Maybe going from 300-500 grams carbs down to 200 or something. Not nearly enough reduction to get much reduction in insulin levels and insulin has to be low for the metabolic state to change to fat burning. Anything greater than 120 grams total carbs is NOT low carb. Most people have to get down around 50 grams to be in ketosis if they are metabolically healthy. And diabetics like me have to get down around 25 or less TOTAL carbs (not minus fiber grams). THAT is low carb, not 200 or 250 grams carbs per day.

Meat is bad for us. Right.***********
