Need to get in to doc and get some real meds. I've fought allergies and sinus infections for last 25 years. You really need a good ENT doc if you want relief. So, to knock the last one I had it took Kenalog shots, Dexamethasone, also hit with an antibiotic, can't remember what we used. Doc also used one on me called Montelukast Sodium pills and a nasal spray called Ipratropium Bromide to get my constant running nose to quit. It dragged on for 7 months till finally found the right combo. First line of defense like other said is rinse sinuses out with saline rinse daily and fluticasone nasal sprays. The saline rinse and fluticasone spray is really the only over the counter stuff that helps. The other stuff never fixes the problem. However, don't get hooked on that cheap nasal spray like Afrin. Yah, it will open you up and feel better, that's what the ENT docs use to open you up to inspect your sinuses. It can get very addicting to your body where you have to use it close to every 4 hours. You'll spend a day or two in hell cleaning that out of your system. It's ok for short term use, for a day or so. You'll think some is choking you as you can't breathe.

Bottom line is sinus problems are no fun!
