Sensor does not hurt to apply. It does make a noise when applied which surprised me the first time.

I can not comment of how close the sensor is to finger pricks because I did not do the finger test. That is a major reason for me wanting a CGM.

I am not at this time concerned about any time delay as I am thinking a rise from certain foods will take place so if it happens 15 minutes sooner or later I am not concerned as I am interested in the end result.
