Highland Center, in Southeast Iowa | My grandfather was blind by about age 80 from it; his daughter...my mom...was diagnosed before she turned 75 and ended up having an injection in one eye every month for a few years, then was able to space it out to about every 2 months later on. She was already blind in the other eye from a side effect of her breast cancer treatment. So far, I'm clear of any signs of it, but my doctor suggests taking Occu-vite or similar lutein-rich vitamin to help maintain that status. |
