I have had a basic metabolic panel done annually for many years. Plus additional tests I have requested for the last several years.

Oddly enough my doctor did not order the panel last year. He doesn't put much faith in cholesterol levels and mine have always been fine anyway. Young independent doctor that reads lots of research. Doesn't prescribe statins unless the client requests. He is staying up with current research. He is not beholden to any big medical conglomerate forced to follow their "standard of care" guidelines.
