Had it done years ago. You will realize how bad your eyes were immediately after surgery..my experience anyway.
That was my experience also. I couldn't believe how bright the lights were in our home! (-:
I had no pain or discomfort. It was a little unhandy wearing some weird "goggles" while sleeping for a few nights (they were to keep me from rubbing my eyes while asleep). But that was the only inconvenience.
EDIT TO ADD:
I also got rid of glasses I'd worn since I was in fourth grade.........it made me wish I'd gotten cataracts sooner in life.
