edgerton ks. | Didn’t say if you inherited it? If you did since you mentioned you didn’t purchase it it would have received a stepped up basis. If this happened recently then you may not owe any Federal tax on it if you sell. State tax would vary and I don’t live in your state. Discuss with your tax man ,but you really didn’t relay enough info for anyone here to give much advise.

Taxes on land sale.
