NW IA | I have more than enough corn. The replacement cost question is in a wide range.
The steers I'm selling were bought as bottle babies, but now I'm looking at replacing them with Holstein and or dairy crosses. I think they work better on Stuffers. I'd like to experiment with some true beef breeds, the negative there is the potential for them to get too fat at lighter weights.
The huts sit empty until it warms up in the spring.
It looks like the consensus is to keep feeding them.
