Proper way would be to isolate well from all plumbing pressure check and also check flow at per specs of pump lift on specs of pump curve. Then you find out if pump is bad or loss of water in hole, be it to plugging of perforation or piping. Or loss of water all together.
My experience with these situations when there is high iron is usually plugged pump/lines. Occasionally you will have a well that needs to be acidized, but the well usually isn't the problem.
He needs to verify that his pressure switch/tank is functioning properly before doing anything else. |
