Subject: RE: Cost of cattle manure and fill dirt

SW Ohio
We did a job similar to that. Friend of a friends Dad had a 20 acre flat field with a four acre hill, maybe 30' tall in one corner. he was paranoid about it being declared a wetland (which it wasn't)and getting the gummit involved, so he wanted the hill spread over the whole field. It took a three man crew, a dozer and a pan, and about three weeks of hard running to get it done. We chiseled it twice when done, it was flat enough to furrow irrigate, and since we did not farm that land, have no idea how it turned out in later years. No manure involved but the cost of doing it was astronomical.
