West Chazy, New York | I grow produce, and there is always some that doesn't sell. I'm thinking of building a small feeding floor, maybe 20 by 30 or so divided into two pens, so that I can buy a litter of pigs in the spring or get a few calves. The main idea is to use what would go to waste, so probably hand feed corn and supplement according to what is available. What makes the most sense, gable or monoslope, flat or sloped floor, open front or curtain on the south side? Ideally if it is hogs they would be gone by the time it winters up. | |
