Yes. Born in May on grass, marketed Sept-October usually. I can see where one would think there is money left on the table with that strategy. But we normally have very good weather for lambing and are able to get our lambs gone before fall. This allows us to stockpile forage, and feed very little if any feed throughout the winter. We also sell replacement quality ewe lambs for a premium to hedge against selling ram lambs during an undesirable time.
