| So some think I'm still running steel wheels, I'm impressed! I wish I was that tight. You bet I could see these tags being a management tool. However you can't even really justify using them on our bulls. Cheaper to buy a extra bull than pay for tags for us. Yes I do use RFID information, but we don't live or die by it. Still keep a little pocket red book with head counts, and pasture rotation dates.
Yup we're not cool, got some 5 figure bulls. Still use a rope, pocket knife and vaccine gun. Those last three tools are very key elements in our operation. Talley book and pencil keep the records.
This new technology will improve and most likely will be using ot in some form in future. Just like solar water pumps, pretty solid tools today, however the firsts one not so good.
