They want the data just like they get for row crops. Have you noticed that since we have got all the tractors hooked up to the web and enough guys entering information into apps and such that “they” know exactly what you can pay for a gallon of roundup and a ton of fertilizer.
15 years ago they were trying to get satellite data good enough to predict yield on a global scale. Now they know what crop it is and what about it will yield. I bet climate corp could tell you things that the usda would only dream of knowing.
Too much information has taken the boom years out of farming. They want to take them out of cattle.
