yes, laminated glass is common at nearly any glass shop, maybe not a hardware store that fixes windows and screens. They can cut it and drill it. If you want tempered, that has to be cut then tempered, so special ordered. It wasn't that bad when I needed some custom (rectangle) pieces ($500 or so for 7 large 2'x4' or so pieces, year 2000)
