I experimented with some Triticale Plus Fall from Byron last year. It's annual ryegrass, and triticale.
I no-tilled into about 15 acres alfalfa, some 8 years old.
Lots of tonnage 1st cutting. Mower had to slow way down.
 So we did 65 acres this fall.
Critical to cut early if you want high RFQ.
I think slicing the crowns may have an invigorating effect on the stand, plus the grass fills in bare spots.

We'll see next spring....
