A four yr old stand has already dried the ground out. It probably needs to be torn up and a new patch started somewhere else. You could sow rye or triticale in it to get some feed then plant it to corn or beans. Just plant a new patch with oats and alfalfa and get good feed. Don’t sow alfalfa seed in the old field that would be an effort in futility.
