I'm assuming you dropped the chopper and baled without raking.
I don't have a chopper on my 1620 and prefer spreading the straw and raking.
That way the pods get spread and the ground isn't so bare.
But this fall it is very dry and the stubble coming out of the combine is so ground up I may not be able to make much of a windrow.
I don't use bean stubble for bedding, just place the bales along the guard rail as roughage for Holsteins on Stuffers.
