I’ve had the odd calf that probably didn’t get colostrum. Usually give them a couple bags of powdered stuff the first couple feedings, or fill them up on moms colostrum if they just couldn’t get sucking on their own. Then get the highest quality milk replacer you can find. A couple quarts 3 times a day, if it’s at calving time and I’m out in the middle of the night I feed them then too. If they seem to want more I just add extra water to the prepared formula to fill them up. Full tummies, make happy calves, have never had one not make it to sale time in fall.
